M1 collaborated with Chicago-based Marz Community Brewing to bring their Tech Noir IPA to life with the SamplAR mobile app. Beer drinkers can mix beats and synth riffs via augmented reality tracking technology. M1 designed an intuitive interface to create unique musical compositions by layering tracks from a bank of samples. Once you download the SamplAR app, you simply hold your smartphone up to one of the Tech Noir cans, while the SamplAR looks for specific images embedded within the label. Each of the four can designs has three unique, interactive panels of audio samples.
